This is what runners look like |
So even though I don't know anything about either of these shows, the idea of an episode (or multiple episodes, actually) centered around a running event made me pretty excited so I signed up (even though I'm out of town for a week of filming, which might mean I can't do it anyway).
Cole asked that I spread the word on my blog so here it is (you can also follow the link above for all the "Chicago Fire" extras casting calls, but here's the info on the running extras specifically:
Crossover show Casting Alert! Searching for males and females, who can dress like runners and can run for our crossover scene (you won't be running long distances, just a little bit) and look like you are runners.* This is the cool scene where an accident happens at this race. If you already sent in, please send in again with a picture of yourself in running clothes (sweats, etc.) send to chifiseries@gmail.com and put "runner" in the subject line. Include your height, weight, age, and phone number. Please only send in if you can work multiple days.
UPDATE (2/18): The official dates are 2/25, 2/26, 2/27, 2/28, 3/3, 3/4, 3/8, 3/12, 3/13, 3/15. - Most extras would not be needed for all the dates though so if you are available for some of these dates they may be able to use you.
Additional info: Cole said they're trying to cast over 200 runners so he's going to be booking a ton of people - so all you Chicago Running Bloggers should be able to get in since you can "look like you are runners" and since you ACTUALLY are runners. They don't have the official filming dates nailed down yet but it's currently planned to take place between February 21st and March 21st. You could work up to 18-hour days and the pay is $80 for the first 8-hours and then time and a half after that.
Cole said if you send him an email at the above address make the subject "Runner - Attn: Cole." Oh and tell him I sent you.
Anyway, have a good weekend of either running outside like a crazy person or hitting the treadmill like a boring person... I'll be the latter.
*For some reason the idea of people looking like runners is funny to me... since anyone can be a runner.
